According to the Dallas News:
An envelope containing an suspicious white powder was mailed to the First Baptist Dallas church Friday afternoon.
According to officials, the church employee who opened the package was not injured.
The department responded to a call to the church just before 1 p.m. and isolated the employee and the substance, spokesman Jason Evans said.
Tests indicated the powder was a non-toxic substance.
Pastor Robert Jeffress has been in the news recently after a church billboard declared “America is a Christian Nation. Jeffress also attracted attention after he prayed at the opening of the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem this spring.
