According to ABC and the AP, Andres “Andy” Avalos, 33, shot and killed his wife, Amber Avalos and another unidentified woman at his home then went to the church confronted and killed James “Tripp” Battle at the church.
Amber Avalos was reportedly a children’s director at The Bayshore Baptist Church.
According to Sheriff’s Brad Steube, Battle and Avalos met face-to-face in the church courtyard shortly before the shooting.
After the shooting, a witness advised the police there were two more victims at the suspect’s home. Investigators went to the house and found the bodies of Amber Avalos and the unidentified woman.
The suspect was last seen leaving the area in his vehicle.
