A man suspected of breaking into cars on Easter Sunday in Polk County was arrested.

“Zachary Lee Dockery, 28, of Benton, was arrested on charges from the Polk County (TN) Sheriff’s Office of burglary to an auto and theft. The

arrest was made with the assistance of the Cleveland Police Department.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office  started an investigation Sunday morning after church members of Cookson Creek Baptist Church in Ocoee called 911 to report that during Easter church service an unknown male had broken into a vehicle parked at the church, and stolen items from the vehicle.

“A person in attendance at the church has witnessed the theft and captured it on his cellphone video,” a news release stated.

Through the investigation and tips from the public, Dockery was reportedly identified as the suspect in the case, and warrants were filed for his arrest.

The Polk County Sheriff’s Office posted Sunday on its Facebook page its thanks for the public’s “tips and information in this case at Cookson Creek Church.”

Dockery is being held at the Polk County Jail. No information regarding bond was available by press time.”
