MARENGO, Iowa (AP) – Police in eastern Iowa have arrested two people in connection with a church robbery.
At this point, details are few.
The Iowa County Sheriff’s Office reported 42-year-old Robby Lynn Jones and 38-year-old Rana Carol Frisch, residents of Newton, IA were arrested Wednesday.
Police say Jones and Frisch entered St. John’s Lutheran Church in Marengo and robbed a church employee.
There were no reports of weapons being used.
An Iowa State Patrol trooper later stopped the suspect’s vehicle believed to be involved in the church robbery.
Both suspects have been charged with second degree robbery.
